At some point, late in the evening at a folk festival somewhere in the middle of nowhere, we had the idea: We want to make music together!
A first gig was quickly found and a few days and nights of reharsals later the repertoire was ready.
And after that first concert at the latest, not only the audience but also the band quickly realised: this has to go on.

The newly formed Quartet Fravil (formerly known as Pabameto Quartet) consists of Marie Eberle | violin, Camilla Czempin | accordion, Pay Bandik Nonn | double bass, guitar and Melf Torge Nonn | clarinet, Irish flute, soprano saxophone, tin whistle. Together they create an energy that is almost impossible to contain and leaves no dancing leg still. Even a few chair legs have been spotted dancing at some point.

The quartet not only brings together four trained musicians, but also years of experience in various folk styles and numerous nights spent dancing together.
The pieces are newly written, rethought from musical traditions and deeply rooted in the living tradition of north-west European dance music. A dash of pop and fat grooves are added here and there.
